Covid 19 - the situation as of March 31st

Dear friends,

In Italy we are now in the third week of confinement. It's very hard, you know it very well, but we're starting to see the light at the bottom of the tunnel. The new cases of infected people have dropped significantly and we are starting to talk about an approximate date so that we can resume work gradually.   It is clear, bars and restaurants are not going to be among the first who will be able to reopen but it will not be long in coming either.

In short, we can start thinking about life after Coronavirus. Meanwhile, some manufacturers continue to work normally, given their strategic importance at the moment. This is the case of our most important partner in terms of refrigeration equipment. In addition, they quickly developed a "sorting cold room" to safely detect the Covid-19. It is a product that was given free of charge to the hospital in Padova, the city where the factory is located, a city particularly hit by the virus.   All those who are interested can contact us for all the necessary information.  

The other manufacturers in our group are all closed again this week, waiting to know if we can return next Monday. Transporters, despite a lot of difficulties, still manage to manage transport between Italy and foreign countries.   We at MAIA are here and it is a great pleasure to hear from you so often, by phone or by email: thank you.
